Hello again to everybody in Pet World. COVID just seems to linger on and on doesn’t it?
Good news is we are dealing with a lot less cancelled flights than we were a month ago so less disruptions to the bookings and it’s easier to communicate with us and we have more time to do things other than rebooking everybody’s flights. If you don’t get through please leave a message, we are checking them at least hourly during Business Hours.
On the Domestic Front there are still very limited flights, and therefore very limited space available for Pets, on many routes especially; MEL to PER, BNE to PER, BNE to MEL & MEL to BNE. We are usually able to get a booking from Melbourne to Coolangatta and vice versa so Clients wanting to get their Pets to or from Brisbane should consider this option. Of course we do have Pet Taxi services in SE QLD and can transfer Pets between Brisbane and Coolangatta Airport if need be. For Pets going from MEL to PER there is some availability via ADL or HBA albeit at a higher cost. For Pets traveling from BNE to PER there is usually availability via DRW if the direct flight is booked out.
On the International front we can still fly to most areas of the world but there is very little choice regarding Routes or Airlines. There is some delay getting to many Countries because of the limited flights. Also delays getting in to London Heathrow because of capacity constraints at the Animal Reception Centre in London but we are able to ship to Manchester and the Scottish Ports without too many issues.
Looking forward it seems capacity will be severely limited right up to and possibly beyond Christmas. Christmas is always busy so please book early if you can and be prepared to be flexible as some flights are going to cancel and it may affect your booking.
