Unfortunately the embargo on Brachycephalic Breeds has still not been listed and the following breeds and their crosses are not being accepted by Qantas or Virgin;

Dogs

Affenpinscher, American Bulldog, Australian Bulldog, American Cocker Spaniel, American Staffordshire Terrier, Bishon Frise, Boston Terrier, Boxer, Brussels Griffon, Bullmastiff, Cane Corso, Chihuahua (apple-headed), Chow Chow, Chinese Charpels, Dogue de Bordeaux, Dutch Bulldog, English Bulldog, English Mastiff, French Bulldog, Japanese Chin (Japanese Spaniel), King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, Lhasa Apso, Maltese, Neapolitan Mastiff, New Foundland, Olde English Bulldog, Old English Mastiff, Pekingese, Pug, Shar-pei, Shih-tzu, Tibetan Spaniel, Valley Bulldog, Yorkshire Terrier

Cats

American Burmese, British Shorthair, Burmilla, Exotic Shorthair, Himalayan, Munchkin, Persian, Scottish Fold, Selkirk Rex

This embargo applies to all Domestic and International Flights operated by Virgin and Qantas. If you have one of the Breeds the Airlines will not accept it until the embargo is lifted. If the Cargo Staff think your Pets resembles one of these breeds they may ask for evidence of what breed your Pet is.

We are hopeful the embargo on these breeds will be lifted soon, it has already gone on longer than we expected and the advent of the Coronavirus may possibly have tied up resources within the Airlines and delayed this issue being resolved.

As soon as we have news about this issue we shall post it,  we are aware we have a lot of Customers who need to get their Pets home and we want to get them on their way for you as soon as possible.
