Latest / Bookings between NSW, QLD & TAS and Victoria still suspended

August 3rd, 2020 by Peter | Category: Pet Transport News

Unfortunately due to COVID issues Qantas Freight have had to close their Melbourne Terminal. This means it is impossible to book any Pets on Domestic and International Flights from and to Melbourne that pass through their Melbourne Terminal, including Air NZ flights from Melbourne, until further notice.

Virgin is still operating domestic services to and from Melbourne however their flights are booked out on most routes until at least September so we have stopped taking bookings on the following routes; MEL-BNE-MEL, MEL-SYD-MEL, MEL-HBA-MEL, MEL-LST-MEL. If you have a booking between Melbourne-Adelaide-Melbourne, Melbourne-Canberra-Melbourne or Melbourne-Perth-Melbourne please fill in our Booking form and we shall try to find you a flight. We will review the other Melbourne routes in mid August.

We are still taking bookings over the rest of the Australian network but please book well in advance as availability is very limited on many routes and flights often don’t connect meaning and overnight stay is required.

You may notice you can’t get through at the moment to our phones, there is a lot of congestion and we often have to take our phone off the hook to get some bookings done. Calls to remind us you are still waiting for your confirmation achieve nothing other than slowing things down and adding to the congestion. We are well aware there are hundreds of Customers waiting for their confirmations, the continual need to re-book cancelled flights is causing the delays but we will email your confirmation as soon as we get to the date your Pet is flying.
